Duck Commanders and Jellystone Park Camp-resort at Coyote Ranch Resort
Vicksburg MS to Wichita Falls TX
We spent the night at a very pleasant campground a short distance from the historic part of Vicksburg.
It took an hour to pack up, not bad for the first tear down of the trip.
Today was a driving day. We traveled approximately seven hours…my backside is not happy!
Stephen was interested to see that we would be passing through West Monroe LA, and that the Duck Dynasty Robertson’s store was less than a mile off our road.
None of the Robertsons were there but their faces were everywhere!
We made it to Texas by noon, singing “If you’re gonna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band” as we drove into the welcome center parking lot.
Our home for the night is alive with the sounds of birds and insects.
One of the birds I have never seen before is the Scissor-tailed Fly Catcher, a graceful, elegant bird that is hard to photograph.
We settled into our site for the night. Now the coyotes are calling to each other…cool, I think… so long as they are not close…
